Naomi received criticism on the dating show for showing an interest in both Max Morley and Joshua Ritchie, and was accused of leading them both on.
But on Monday (27 July), when Luis was asked by a Twitter user about his thoughts on the "Naomi saga", Luis replied: "Haven't got a bad word to say about @naomi_ball she's a nice girl and I feel like people should stop hating on her!"
Naomi, who entered the villa as a late arrival, initially coupled up with Josh, who ended his romance with Jess Hayes for the blonde. Although getting on well in the initial stages, it didn't last, and Naomi soon set her sights on new arrival Max.
That wasn't smooth-sailing either, as although she showed an interest in Max, she revealed that she couldn't quite shrug off her feelings for Josh.
In the end, Naomi chose Max, but by that point he had partnered with Jess, meaning it was the second time Naomi had stolen Jess' man, or in other words, it was the second time Jess had gotten 'pied'.
However, Max and Naomi's romance was short-lived when she was voted out of the villa during the public vote.
Speaking to Reveal after her exit, Naomi told us: "I wasn't that surprised. I kind of knew that the public weren't thinking of me that favourably. I should have been more clean cut with how I dealt with the Josh and Max situation and stopped talking to Josh. But it's hard when you're in there, it's not as black and white as that."
Soon after Naomi had left, Max realised he had made a mistake in dumping Jess and pulled out all the stops to win her back. They officially went on to become boyfriend and girlfriend, with the pair later winning Love Island.
