The What A Girl Wants actress was pictured leaving the Michel Costello and Style PR capsule collection bash on Thursday (23 July).
Amanda wore a white lace dress and sunglasses as she made her way to her car surrounded by friends, no doubt helping her get past the paparazzi swarm.
She waved and smiled as she arrived at her car which was great to see after an emotional and tough few years. It's the first time she's been pictured in public since October.
The 29-year-old has rarely been seen in public in the past year after a difficult time recently.
The former child star was hospitalised in 2013 for a mental health assessment after allegedly starting a small fire in a California driveway. She was on probation at the time for driving with a suspended license. The same year she was accused of throwing a bong out a New York flat window.
In February last year she was given three years of probation and ordered to take alcohol awareness classes after pleading no contest to reckless driving. In June, the bong throwing case was thrown out of court in New York.
Amanda's parents were put in charge of her financial and legal affairs two years ago and it's thought she's still under their temporary conservatorship.
However, in June, her lawyer David Esquibias told People: "Amanda is doing great. She appreciates all of the love and support she receives from family, friends and fans."
Amanda's been keeping out of the limelight and focusing on her fashion ambitions. She previously attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA, where the likes of Lauren Conrad has also studied.
