Liam was a little late to the party as he took to Twitter to celebrate One Direction's five year anniversary. The milestone was initally marked on 22 July, which was five years since the band formed on The X Factor.
While each band member has publicly sent messages to their fans, including dad-to-be Louis Tomlinson writing "thank you" 17 times, Liam called out each member of the boys.
He tweeted: "Did I miss something? Wow 5 years 5 boys what an amazing journey I couldn't thank you all ever enough and thank you Louis Niall Harry and Zayn for everything.
"Thanks for all the memories boys I love you all."
Seemingly pleased with the mention, Zayn replied: "@Real_Liam_Payne thanks bro!" with a smiley face emoji.
Zayn quit the band at the end of March, saying in a statement: "I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."
Speaking about his shock exit, Liam told James Corden on his US chat show in May: "We were angry at first, but then it was just a bit more disappointed, but we wish him the best of luck with whatever he gets up to and there's no hard feelings. We're just going to carry on as usual."
