Taylor tweeted her apologies to Nicki, saying she "misspoke" after thinking she was being "called out".
She tweeted: "I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki.
Accepting the apology, Nicki said: "That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13."

When a fan said they were glad the pair have made up, Nicki replied: "I've always loved her. Everyone makes mistakes. She gained so much more respect from me. Let's move on."
It all started on Tuesday (21 July) when Nicki took to Twitter to complain about the VMAs nominations list.
That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13— NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) July 23, 2015
Rapper Nicki was annoyed that her song 'Anaconda' hadn't been nominated for 'Video of the Year' and 'Best Choreography', suggesting that videos which celebrate "women with very slim bodies" are rewarded.
Taylor thought Nicki was referring to her, and tweeted in response: "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot… If I win, please come up with me!! You're invited to any stage I'm ever on."
But this left Nicki confused, who replied: "Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this. I'm still confused as to why u just tweeted me when I made it abundantly clear... "
The ongoing saga saw Nicki lash out at outlets who had said she made a jab at Taylor, and other famous figures got involved too, with Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and Piers Morgan all having an opinion on it.
In fact, Bruno Mars made light of the situation by mocking their row, saying: "Yo, I want in on this twitter beef!! VMAs is the new WWF!! @edsheeran f*** you!"
'Thinking Out Loud' singer Ed fought back: "Any way we do this you gon' come up short."
