Nick Grimshaw has given fans a good look at what really goes on backstage at The X Factor, and we have to say, it looks like a pretty fun place to be!

When Nick and his fellow X Factor judges aren't listening to this year's hopefuls showcase their vocal talents, their trying their hand at the latest toy craze... the airboard (or skyboard to some).

It's the toy that most famous faces haven't been seen without lately. From Geordie Shore's Gary Beadle, to Holly Hagan and TOWIE's Jessica Wright, everyone seems to be getting their airboard on.

But while it may have won over a whole slew of celebs, it seems there is one person who just isn't quite a fan... Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Nick shared a clip of former Girls Aloud star Cheryl giving the gadget a go.

A little unsteady on her feet, the 32-year-old couldn't quite get moving without the reassurance of Nick guiding her along. Shuffling forwards on the board, Cheryl gave it her best efforts before declaring she "doesn't like it" and reaching out to her co-star to help her off.

Next to his video post, Nick seemed pretty amused at Cheryl's attempt to airboard, sharing a series of laughing emojis alongside the clip. Quoting her, he told fans: "She doesn't like it. @cherylofficial"

Nick, meanwhile, seemed slightly more at ease on it than Cheryl did - even if he does need to work on his exit a little bit.

Anyone else really wanting an airboard of their own now?

Nick's video comes after he joined Cheryl, Simon Cowell and Rita Ora at Wembley Arena for another round of London auditions.

New to the panel this year, Nick has been settling into his role as an X Factor judge and it's said he is already making a good impression.

Not only is Nick suggested to have great onscreen chemistry with his music mogul boss, but it seems he also shares his straight-talking approach when it comes to giving feedback to the contestants.

His lines so far include: "I'd love to go on a night out with you but I never want to hear you sing again." and "Your girlfriend must love you if she thinks you can sing 'cos you really can't."

Oh Grimmers, we can't wait to see you in action!

The X Factor is set to return to screens later this year.
