We all know the celebrity world is rather often awash with scandal, controversy and bad behaviour. But in amongst all that excess, naughtiness and sensational headlines are a slew of good 'uns. The sort of stars we so often call 'Squeaky Clean'. They are more likely to hit the headlines for rescuing a lost dog or winning their umpteenth award than falling out of a club drunk.
And we salute them for being such good role models! So, ahead of the Reveal Online Fashion Awards 2015 sponsored by Surf, we count down eight of the squeakiest clean celebrities in the UK*!
1. Ant & Dec
"Even though they've been in the public eye longer than most, the best friends from Newcastle have always maintained their reputation as feel good, cheeky, family entertainers with not a scrap of scandal among them! No bar brawls, fall outs, diva antics... these guys are the definitely of squeaky clean! Ant's blissfully married to make-up artist Lisa, while Dec is engaged to manager Ali. They're said to be mega wealthy, apparently earning £23,000 per day last year, but they've remained the same humble, down to earth, good fun lads we all fell for back in their Byker Grove days."
2. Michelle Keegan
"Ever since Michelle Keegan started Corrie in XX she's been soap's golden girl. There's been major drama for Tina on the Cobbles (and a very sticky ending) but off-screen, Michelle's real life plays more like a fairy tale. Hunky husband? Dream wedding? Exotic travel? Oh, and her own fashion line? Yes, she has it all. And is ridiculously beautiful and lovely to boot! There was one teeny tiny incident last year when a naked picture emerged online purported to be taken of Michelle in the bath but she denied it was her, meaning her slate is still very much squeaky clean."
3. Mollie King
"One fifth of The Saturdays, the gorgeous popstar is never seen without a big smile on her face. She's been in the public eye throughout her twenties but has never once been pictured falling out of a club drunk or getting caught up in scandal. Mollie may be an English rose but she totally oozes that sunny California girl style with a chilled out, peaceful vibe. She also uses her fame for good causes, as an ambassador for British Heart Foundation. Oh, and the girl loves dogs! Her gorgeous pup Alfie is an Instagram favourite. As is her hunky model boyfriend David Gandy..."
4. Olly Murs
"The ultimate cheeky chappy, Olly Murs has been a family favourite ever since bouncing on to that X Factor stage back in 2009. He's gone on to carve out a successful career as a singer both here and abroad but, unlike many peers, his only appearances in the gossip columns are thanks to his big smile and talent! He's happily dating girlfriend Francesca but keeps their romance well out of the limelight. The only scandal he's ever been embroiled in was for music video 'Seasons' when he was caught bedding another woman. Fictional, of course!"
5. Emma Watson
"In a world where so many Hollywood child stars go off the rails, Emma Watson has been a refreshing example that kids who find fame young can become successful adults. After shooting to fame at just nine years old as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, she shunned the spotlight to focus on her education, studying at Oxford University and the exclusive Ivy League school Brown in the US. She's now got a Bachelor's degree in English literature. At just 25 years old, she's become a passionate advocate of many charities and campaigns, acting as a UN Goodwill Ambassador and helping launch the HeForShe gender equality campaign."
6. All of JLS
"These guys formed after Oritse Williams wanted to make money to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis, which his mum suffers from. He was a young carer before hooking up with Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold and JB Gill. Success came on the fifth series of X Factor... and then their world exploded! They won BRIT Awards, Mobo Awards and sold more than ten million records before splitting last year. None of the boys has ever been involved in any scandal: a rare thing for a boyband in this day and age of mobile phones recording everything. The lads are all happily loved up, two of them are dads, they all do charity work and use their fame to promote good causes. They've done numerous charity singles, charity fundraiser performances and even founded their own JLS Foundation which, despite their split, continues to raise money for Cancer Research UK, Rays of Sunshine, Brook, Childline, Beat Bullying and the MS Society."
7. Holly Willoughby
"She's everyone's favourite bubbly blonde morning TV presenter and she's been sorely missed while she's been on maternity leave from This Morning! Holly started as a kids' TV presenter before becoming one of the biggest female presenters in the UK. She's been married to TV producer Dan Baldwin since 2007 and is the mother of three children: Harry, Belle and Chester. Holly's known for her sweet, bubbly demeanour on This Morning and sensitive way she conducts interviews and becomes involved in her subjects. She's a patron of Together For Short Lives, a charity that supports children's hospices and palliative care services."
8. Keira Knightley
"Like Emma Watson, Keira found fame as a child actress, playing Natalie Portman's double in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. She became a household name with the movie Bend It Like Beckham but shunned a glitzy Hollywood life in favour of living away from the limelight and, after her turn in big budget franchise Pirates of the Caribbean, she opted to focus on independent movies and theatre. Much like Emma, she's also turned her attention to charity work, supporting Amnesty International, Oxfam and Women's Aid. She's also lent her starpower to research into spinal muscular atrophy. Keira's famously private about her personal life so there's no scandal there. She married Klaxons musician James Righton in a quiet French ceremony and gave birth to their daughter earlier this year."
