The couple met seven years ago and have both said a marriage proposal is inevitable at some stage but unfortunately for us, it seems that big moment may not be screened on The Only Way Is Essex.
Lydia told Daily Star TV Extra: "We've been on and off for seven years, so it's a long time, but this is it now. It'll happen in the next three years. We have spent so much of our lives on TV, so I'd like the proposal to be a bit more private and between us."
As a fashion designer and boutique owner, perhaps it's so surprise Lydia already has a few ideas for wedding gowns in her head…
"I've definitely got my own style but I would love my wedding dress to be glamorous by a designer like Oscar de la Renta or Vera Wang. And maybe I'd design the bridesmaids' dresses."
In fourteen series of TOWIE, we've only actually seen two proposals on screen: Mario Falcone popping the question to Lucy Mecklenburgh in Marbella, and Joey Essex's proposal to Sam Faiers in Dubai.
Neither couple is still together.
