Being caught completely naked sounds like every girl's worst nightmare, right? Well for Charlotte, it actually happened and the entire nation watched on as she climbed out of a hotub with everything on show.
Geordie Shore has made a name for itself thanks to its stars willing to do almost anything on camera, but even then there are somethings where a line has to be drawn. Standing full frontal with nothing on is not something Charlotte wanted to be screened across the country and having to deal with the aftermath, she claims, left her feeling "so angry" and "let down".
In her new autobiography Me Me Me, Charlotte reveals she had to deal with online trolls sending her screen grabs of the incident along with nasty comments, admitting that even now, sometimes they still do.
Opening up about the ordeal she has had to face since, Charlotte told The Daily Star On Sunday she suffered months of abuse and was left feeling like she couldn't leave her house without things being shouted at her in the street.
Upset that show producers would allow such scenes to air without her knowing, the 25-year-old insisted she had been "let down" by Geordie Shore, adding the incident "changed her opinion of TV".
"I realised you just don't know how much you can trust [the producers]," she explained. "It showed they're not loyal to us."
Recalling the moment, she saw herself standing out of the hot tub onscreen, she said: "I didn't really know how I felt at first and then I got so angry about it. It really annoyed me that they let that air."
Detailing "fairy-gate", as she calls it, in her new book, Charlotte admits it hasn't stopped her from continuing on with the show.
While she insists she is still left angered by it now, the starlet tells readers she "never once thought about leaving" as she loves being a part of Geordie Shore too much.
Now, she has just wrapped up filming for her eleventh series on the show and has claimed she wants to continue to star on Geordie Shore until it ends.
She and the rest of her co-stars recently jetted to Greece to film the new season in Zante, and returning back home to the UK, Charlotte teased Geordie Shore's new series is "going to be a biggy".
