Last Sunday (12 July), viewers watched as Chloe split with Jake, telling her former flame she was "majorly done" with their relationship.
After hearing Jake had kissed TOWIE newcomer Verity Champan, Chloe decided enough was enough, splitting with her co-star boyfriend. Now she is embracing being single again, telling fans you have to "do what is good for you" sometimes.
Taking to Instagram, Chloe shared an inspirational message that poignantly relates to her own situation when it comes to her love life.
It read: "Single isn't a status, but it's a word that describes a person who is strong enough to live and enjoy life without depending on others."
Sharing some of her own advice alongside it, she captioned her post: "So true... Be your own person & do what's good for you."
Chloe's Instagram comes after she and Jake came to blows, following news he had kissed Verity. While Jake had claimed the smooch happened when he and Chloe were on a break, Chloe is sure the pair were still together at the time.
Prior to joining TOWIE, Jake and Chloe had dated on/off for six years and fans have continuously watched the pair break up and make up. Insisting the kiss was the final straw, Chloe told her beau: "I can't believe I've been naïve for such a long time and so stupid... I am so done."
Following their break-up Chloe has said she is "devastated" things haven't worked out between her and Jake, but she knows it is for the best.
"For my own sake and my own self respect I can't keep on going like this," she admitted. "I know it will go on the rest of my life if I carry on. You grow up and you learn and you get stronger and you move on, so that's what I'm going to do."
Meanwhile, Jake and Chloe's co-stars have had their say on the pair's failed romance, insisting it is "about time" the couple go their separate ways.
While Danielle Armstrong was pleased to hear Chloe had "finally come to her senses", Georgia Kousoulou added: "A weight has been lifted off her shoulders, his shoulders, our shoulders, the whole of Essex's shoulders!"
They weren't the only ones to comment as Ferne McCann admitted she and her castmates were "all getting a little bit bored" of Jake and Chloe's relationship going back and forth.
While Jake was angry at Chloe for finishing things with him in front of their co-stars, it seems the Essex boy has now accepted his former flame's decision to move on.
Revealing he is pleased to see Chloe looking happier again, he sent her a text reading: "Hi Chlo, good to see you smiling again, even if it's not with me. I'm glad you're happy. That's all I ever wanted. Love ya always. Jx."
Will this really be the end for the pair?
