Starring on Geordie Shore has meant that the entire nation has seen Charlotte in some seriously embarrassing situations, and thanks to that, she is often subjected to the nasty comments of online trolls.
But while Charlotte has openly admitted she isn't one to dwell on what other people think of her, she has revealed in her new autobiography Me Me Me, a comment made by Irish music mogul Louis left her "so angry and embarrassed".
In her book, Charlotte recalls the moment she met Louis backstage at The X Factor three years ago in 2012.
The reality star says: "Louis Walsh walked out and said hi to Rylan and Leigh [Francis] before looking at me. 'Who are you?' he asked. 'I'm Charlotte,' I said at which he replied, 'oh are you the girl from Geordie Shore?' I smiled back, 'yeah that's me!' Louis turned back to Nicholas [McDonald] and said something about him having a sh*g sorted for that night.
"I literally didn't know where to put myself. I was so angry and embarrassed. I felt like a piece of sh*t. Afterwards I kept thinking of all these things I could have said back to him. You know when you think of clever retorts but it's too late?... That comment really hurt me."
Charlotte's recollection of her encounter with Louis comes as she recently defended her behaviour on Geordie Shore to Lorraine Kelly.
Proving it takes a lot for her to become red-faced, Charlotte insisted that regardless of people's opinions of her, she isn't embarrassed of the way she acts whether it be wetting the bed, hooking up onscreen or drinking one too many jagerbombs.
"I'm not the sort of person who worries about things," she said during a recent interview on Lorraine. "I live life to the fullest and I don't stop for a second and think about people I don't know and what their opinions are. As long as my friends and family still love us and accept us for who I am, that's all I care about."
That mantra has certainly shone through in her new autobiography, as Charlotte has happily been quite open when it comes to penning her life so far.
Not only does the starlet divulge all about her teenage years (no holds barred!), she discusses in detail her relationships past and present and how her friendship with Vicky Pattison has changed over the years.
Of course, Charlotte opens up on her on/off romance with Gary Beadle, admitting she was "stupidly in love" with her co-star, and she even reveals he inspired her first tattoo!
Charlotte's autobiography Me Me Me is available to buy from Thursday 16 July.
