Alex, 19, is a features editor for Marbella Rocks Magazine and is described as "bubbly and fun". Despite being one of the youngest members of the cast, Alex has said that she is ready for the fame that this show could bring.
"My ex-boyfriend is best mates with Sam Faiers so I have picked up a lot from her," she said. "I think with the whole fame thing, for me, it's exciting. I have always wanted to get into TV presenting so this is something I have always taken to."
Alex said Sam and other past and current stars of TOWIE have given her useful advice. "What she and all the TOWIE lot that came over here have said is that I have to be careful now that I am going to be in the public eye. If you had told me last year that I would be in Marbella and doing a show like this, I would never have believed you.
"Hopefully I can show people that if they put themselves out there and are confident, then they can achieve anything they want to."
Aside from knowing the cast of TOWIE, Alex's godmother is former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer.
"I call her my East End auntie," said Alex. "I told her about the show and she was so excited for me. She just said to be myself and at the end of the day everyone makes mistakes, so if I make one while I'm on the show then it's OK. I just have to show that I am young and just having fun. She said it's down to me to learn from every mistake I make.
"And she said not to worry if I ever feel overwhelmed doing this show because I have the potential to achieve a lot by doing it. They are all really excited and happy for me. My mum always says I am more like Patsy's daughter than her own because when Pasty and I get together, we're so similar as we don't do anything. We just enjoy sitting around and doing nothing."
But, Alex has even more celebrity connections: "I grew up in the East End so people like Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani have always been in my life. Dani went to school with my cousin so I have known her for years and have been to all the Dyer parties and stuff. I know Simon Webbe too because my auntie used to clean his house! I met him out once and he bought me a drink!"
So, what's Marbella like?
"It's a bit like Essex, everyone wants to be better than everyone else. In Essex you go to Sugar Hut and everyone wants to have the biggest table and the most drinks. It's just the same out here... but the clubs are better."
Life On Marbs starts Wednesday 22 July at 9pm on ITVBe.
