Virgin Media's V Festival is always one of our favoruite events of the year. Held on 22 and 23 August in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, the sun is usually shining, there are loads of celebrities to spot and the lineup is always pretty darn perfect!

And this year is no exception! With the iconic festival now celebrating its 20th anniversary, organisers have drummed up an a-mazing list of performers from Calvin Harris and Kasabian to Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding and Stereophonics.

Here's a few of our personal favourites that we'll be aiming to see!

1. Ellie Goulding

She just never fails to deliver – on both the fashion AND the music front! We'll be lusting over her style (stomach on display, shorts?) while singing along to tracks like 'Love Me Like You Do' and 'Burn'.

2. Calvin Harris

We are SO excited about this! And we've noticed that Miss Goulding is playing on the same stage as him on the same day! Will we see them reunited on stage?! We'll also be keeping our eyes peeled for Taylor Swift side of stage. Obvs she'll be looking leggy and fantastic!

3. Olly Murs

Ever since X Factor we've had a major soft spot for Mr Murs. And look how far he's come! Now headlining the MTV Stage at V Fest on its 20th anniversary! He'll be playing his insanely catchy tracks like 'Dance With Me Tonight' and 'Heart Skips A Beat' and we'll be bopping along!

4. George Ezra

George and his guitar = acoustic, raw and magical. We've no doubt his set will be absolutely spellbinding. We can't believe he's only 22! We still have a soft spot for his smash hit, Brit Award-nominated 'Budapest' but George could sing pretty much anything and we'd stand there open mouthed.

5. Sam Smith

He had a difficult start to the year after undergoing surgery on his vocal cords in Boston but now he's back and that voice is as smooth as ever. We'll be quivering away to tracks like 'Stay With Me' and 'Not The Only One', wondering who in their right mind would ever stray from Mr Smith…

6. The Script

Reason one: Danny. Have you SEEN him?! Reason two: their songs are blooming brilliant! If there was ever a track made for a festival sing-a-long it's 'Hall Of Fame'. Or 'Superheroes'. Basically all their songs are just fab!

7. Aston Merrygold

We love Aston. Formerly one fourth of JLS, now making waves as a solo artist. We've been bigging up his debut solo single 'Get Stupid' in recent weeks and we'll be first in line to see him live! Fingers crossed he adds a couple of JLS tracks to his set list!

8. Nick Jonas

Like Aston, he's a former boyband star gone solo and riding high on debut smash 'Jealous'. Not only is he rather lovely to look at it, but he puts on a brilliant show. We wonder if there will be any room for an old Jonas Brothers classic? Maybe not!

9. Ella Eyre

Like Ellie, we'll totally be lusting after her style, hair and make-up while singing along to the likes of 'Waiting All Night' and 'Gravity'. We love this girl and we can't wait to see her on a festival stage!

10. Conor Maynard

We've always had a major soft spot for Conor ever since he bounced onto the scene with 'Can't Say No'. Charismatic, talented and puts on a great show. Our favourite track is his smooth, Justin Timberlake-esque 'R U Crazy' which we'd LOVE to sing to some of our exes…

11. Ella Henderson

We heart everything about Ella. From her incredible, soulful voice to her fabulous songs - we've had 'Ghost' stuck in our head now for more than a year - her lush hair and her entire girl power attitude! We're so happy she's been such a success since X Factor both here and the US!
