Head judge Simon Cowell returns with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini this year, alongside new additions, pospstar Rita Ora and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw.
Oritsé and his former JLS bandmates Aston Merrygold, JB Gill and Marvin Humes were runners-up in the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008, and Oritsé has said the casting of Nick could be just what the panel needs.
"It's a great line-up," Oritsé told Reveal at this month's New Look Wireless Festival. "You've got Nick Grimshaw who is a radio DJ, which is a very important and new element to the show. These artists have to get ready for radio. Ultimately, once the show is done, the artists have to create records that radio stations will play.
"Having someone like Nick will help craft artists to get ready for radio and that's important."
Performing under the solo name OWS, Oritsé has waved goodbye to his JLS days and is hitting the studio writing more solo material following the success of his debut, 'Waterline'.
