Last week, Naomi found herself without a place in the Love Island villa after receiving the least amount of public votes in the show's latest live elimination. She left behind her beau Max, and while he seemed pretty gutted to see her go at first, he has now turned his attentions back to his original love interest, Jess.
After watching Max make a beeline for her former co-star, Naomi has now taken to Twitter to have her say.
Max & Jess always remained friends so of course they would rekindle after I left. No hard feelings, it's a game and they need to play it!— Naomi Ball (@naomi_ball) July 6, 2015
And instead of hitting out at her former flame, Naomi suggested she always knew the pair would go back to each other.
She tweeted: "Max & Jess always remained friends so of course they would rekindle after I left. No hard feelings, it's a game and they need to play it!"
Naomi had recently told Reveal she would "bet all her money" Jess and Max would reunite now she is not in the villa, and it seems her predictions are more than likely set to become true.
During last night's episode, viewers watched as Max set his sights on Jess again. As a newly single boy, he was given the opportunity to wine and dine five brand new girls in the villa with Josh Ritchie, in the hope that they would pick one to join them on the show.
However, Max soon realised he would rather couple with Jess than choose one of the five, telling his former flame: "Hand on heart, if you walked through that door I would 100% pick you."
Max had originally been coupled up with Jess, enjoying a brief fling with her on his entrance to the villa. He soon decided to end things, however, when Naomi announced she had split from boyfriend of two weeks Josh.
Wary that Max had "mugged her off" previously, Jess told her co-star he would need to prove to her he is interested. Although, she did confide in Lauren Richardson that she still really likes him.
Sounds like Jess and Max round two is pretty much on the cards, right?!
With Jess and Max's coupling up looming, we wonder where that leaves things for him and Naomi.
Following her Love Island exit, Naomi revealed Max had said if it was him leaving, he would definitely wait for her on the outside. She then admitted she would be keen to pick up things from where they left off when the show finishes.
"I would really like to see Max on the outside and see what could happen there," he said. "I think he's lovely."
We wonder if that still stands...
