The first round of auditions were cancelled in Manchester this week following the death of Simon Cowell's mum Julie, who passed away on Sunday aged 89.
Auditions were originally set to kick off in Manchester on Monday and continue on Tuesday, but it has now been revealed that they will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.
A spokesperson for Syco Entertainment said: "We will now start auditions in Manchester on Wednesday and Thursday this week."
It has also been confirmed that Simon will attend the auditions on both days.
The auditions will mark the first time fans will see Simon, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw on the new judging panel for this year's series. It will also see the new presenting line-up of Olly Murs and Caroline Flack as co-hosts.
The death of Simon's mother Julie was announced on Sunday evening.
The Cowell family said in a statement: "Today our beloved mum Julie passed away. Anyone who had met her would know what a truly special and kind lady she was. We are heartbroken and will miss her terribly, but she is now at peace."
