Nicole Scherzinger is being tipped to join The Voice UK, but a new report suggests there is in fact a ban on hiring former X Factor judges.

It was reported earlier this week that former X Factor judge Nicole could replace Rita Ora on the BBC talent show.

Nicole has been rumoured to have been approached for The Voice job.

Ironically, Rita, who joined as a coach in series four, has now signed up to be a judge on the new series of The X Factor. BBC bosses are currently looking for a replacement and Nicole's name has popped up a lot this past week.

But a source has since told the Daily Star: "The BBC does not want anyone who has been a judge on The X Factor coming on The Voice.

"Our show is an established brand with strong coaches Sir Tom Jones, and Ricky Wilson, who all have strong musical ability. We don't want cast-offs. They would dilute our brand."

This week, Ricky also revealed he was uncertain if he would be back for the new series as he was yet to hear from the producers.

According to reports, FKA Twigs, Mel C and Paloma Faith have also been tipped to replace Rita.
