TOWIE's Danielle Armstrong has said she's proud of ex-boyfriend James 'Lockie' Lock for seeking help through counselling.

On last night's episode of the ITV show, we saw Lockie speaking with his therapist about feeling angry and frustrated following his split from Danni.

Danni tweeted afterwards: "Regardless of the problems me and James had in our relationship I'm very proud he's taking it seriously and going to counselling."

Other stars who sent love and well wishes to Lockie included Lewis Bloor and James 'Arg' Argent as well as Frank Major. (Blast from the past, there!)

Frank tweeted: "Addressing your demons in public isn't easy. You're doing yourself proud mate."

We saw Lockie talking to his counsellor at the end of Sunday night's episode, saying: "We're not in a good place at the minute. We are barely talking. Sometimes the frustration leads to anger."

His counsellor said: "It's okay to feel angry. Anger is a valid emotion like any other emotion. It sounds like you're replacing feeling hurt with anger, almost then as the defence."

Lockie replied: "I know it sounds very chauvinist but I think hurt is quite weak, if you like. I feel a bit hard done by that if someone has caused my grief and hurt, why am I feeling hurt? It should be them feeling hurt, not me."

TOWIE airs Wednesdays and Sundays at 10pm on ITVBe.
