Mario Falcone has said the way Tommy Mallet spoke to Ferne McCann in TOWIE last week was unacceptable.

On Sunday night's show viewers saw Tommy calling Ferne "loose" after accusing her of interfering in his relationship with Georgia Kousoulou.

And on last night's episode, Mario had his say.

Just returned from his suspension, Mario was catching up on all the Essex gossip and joked the other guys were making him look good with their antics.

"The way he spoke to Ferne was unacceptable," said Mario. "I have sisters and if someone spoke to them like that I would go mental. If anything he has reiterated Ferne's point as he's gone and spoken to her the way he says he doesn't speak to Georgia.

"I was properly disappointed. At the end of the day, he shouldn't speak to a woman like that. He did call her a ho and the loosest girl in Essex. Ferne's quite proud so I hope she accepts his apology but I understand if she doesn't."

In the same episode we saw Ferne telling Danielle that Tommy's comments were annoying as they weren't true: "I'm getting no meat whatsoever. I wouldn't mind if I was getting sausage at the minute! I don't know if the boys think I'm an easy target and go in on me…"

At the end of the episode, Tommy did decide to apologise to Ferne after admitting he had been "rude" and things had been said in the heat of the moment.

She accepted.
