The former Girls Aloud singer is back for another year on the famous judging panel as she, Simon Cowell, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora kick off the search to find the UK's next biggest star.
Cheryl tweeted: "I was thinking a lot today and feeling really nostalgic & thankful thinking back to how I got so fortunate...
"When I was only hoping of one day achieving my dreams, I swore I wouldn't enter a competition. How wrong was I!...If you feel ready to take on your dreams there's still time!"
Cheryl then told fans to audition for the new series of The X Factor, saying she was "excited to see/meet you guys."

And, Cheryl knows exactly what it's like to audition on a talent show, having kicked off her singing career on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, when she won a place in Girls Aloud.
After Girls Aloud split in 2013, Cheryl continued to focus on her solo career, and last year, she became the first British female solo artist to claim five number one singles.
X Factor will return later this year and the show has already seen a major overhaul. Alongside the new appointments of Rita and Nick as judges, Olly Murs and Caroline Flack will be presenting the main show taking over from Dermot O'Leary.
Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom will also be the new presenters of The Xtra Factor, taking over from Sarah-Jane Crawford.
