The television host appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain earlier today to speak about life after X Factor; a life that will NOT include any dancing!
He said: "The thing is, I'm a TV host and what I love doing is interviewing people and live television and those are the two things I think I'm ok at. I don't want to be a contestant on Strictly and they've got two really good presenters on Strictly so I can't see [it happening]."
Dermot quit his presenting job on X Factor in May after eight years fronting the ITV talent show.
At the time, he said: "After eight wonderful years on X Factor tor it's time for me to move on. I'd like to thank ITV, Simon, The X Factor family and particularly the viewers, all of whom have been a big part of my life for so long. I'd like to wish the team all the best for the future, especially whoever takes over from me."
His role has been filled by Caroline Flack and Olly Murs.
During his chat on GMB, Dermot also played down speculation he might join Chris Evans on the newly-revamped Top Gear, saying: "I love my cars but I think Chris would probably want his own team.
"He's such a main man and he's a big deal for me, he's one of the reasons why I got into television in the first place but I would imagine he'd want his own team on it."
So, that begs the question, what exactly WILL Dermot do next?!
We shall have to wait and see!
