TOWIE's Tommy Mallet on Ferne: 'I'd like to be friends again... but not now'

TOWIE's Tommy Mallet has said he would like to be friends with Ferne McCann again... but it won't be happening anytime soon.

Tensions boiled over between Tommy and Ferne on last night's episode after Tommy accused Ferne of interfering in his relationship with Georgia Kousoulou. He also took a personal dig at her, calling her "loose".

Ferne was understandably furious and has since tweeted to brand his comments character defamation.

In a video chat with the official TOWIE website, Tommy revealed he'd known Ferne for years and said he thought she'd changed...

"I've known her a long time, apart from Lewis Bloor and Arg, the longest I've ever known anyone in Essex. I just feel I've had her back a lot so when it comes to the point she's talking about me she should have more respect and say it to me rather than slag me off to other people.

"I wish it hadn't gone that far and I had to tell her a few home truths but I have to defend myself at the end of the day.

"This ain't the Ferne we met seven years ago who used to be in Marbella and we used to have a right laugh with her. This is Ferne who gets up in people's relationships and puts her opinion into things when she don't actually care. She ain't doing nothing to try to help me or make my relationship better.

"She ain't doing what Lewis or Arg does. That's why I'm not listening to her. She's just doing it to have an opinion and her opinion is irrelevant to me. I would like to be her friend again but in the place she's in at the moment, I don't really want her around me, to be honest with you. I don't like negative people. I don't need it. I have enough friends. I don't need Ferne."

TOWIE airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 10pm on ITVBe.
