Speaking about her new role, Rochelle said: "I have watched The Xtra Factor for years so I am beyond excited about joining such a brilliant team and getting to work with my old friend Melvin makes it even better. I also can't wait to meet the contestants and be a part of their X Factor experience."
KISS FM DJ Melvin said: "I've always been a massive fan of the show and to get to present The Xtra Factor is a dream for me. We are there to support the contestants and have fun – I'm really looking forward to it!"
Marvin Humes shared the exciting news, saying: "So proud of my wife @RochelleHumes and my brother from another mother @MelvinOdoom your new #XtraFactor hosts @TheXFactorUK well done guys!"
However this does mean Melvin's radio partner and frequent co-host Rickie Haywood-Williams is left on the sidelines…
Simon Cowell has decided he'd rather Melvin team with Rochelle, than having Melvin and Rickie together on the show, or Melvin, Rickie and Rochelle all presenting together.
A source told The Sun: "The two boys auditioned together and all the vibes were that they were going to get the gig together. It's like splitting up Ant and Dec – can you imagine how Rickie feels?"
So, after months of speculation, both The X Factor hosts and judges, and Xtra Factor hosts have been confirmed. The show hasn't even begun and it's already been a roller-coaster!
Caroline Flack and Olly Murs will host this years X Factor, replacing Dermot O'Leary.
On the judging panel are Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw, Rita Ora and Simon Cowell.
Speaking about the changes, Simon said: "I have know idea what the show will look like but I feel both excited and nervous. It's going to be very different! Embrace the madness…"
