X Factor star Fleur has just returned home from Los Angeles where she was busy recording her debut album.
Having signed a record deal with Simon's label Syco after finishing as runner-up on last year's series, Fleur has been hard at work in the recording studio, and she went Stateside to finish off her debut record.
Simon told The Sun: "I've heard it and it's world class. She has discovered who she wanted to be. Sometimes you just spot someone who's not obvious and Fleur's a good example of that."
Fleur came in second place in the 11th series of the talent show, losing out to winner Ben Haenow.
As the winner, van driver Ben secured a recording contract with Syco, and he too has been in America working on new material after securing a Number 1 single with a cover of OneRepublic's 'Something I Need'. Simon added: "His album is going to be good."
