During the last series of The Only Way Is Essex, Chloe and her former flame Jake joined the show and while both were single at the time, it became clear they still had feelings for each other. Jake soon said he wanted ex-girlfriend Chloe back and since then, the pair have kept us guessing when it comes to their relationship status.
We pretty much guessed Chloe and Jake were together again after their numerous PDAs in Marbs and now Chloe has finally set the record straight, telling Reveal exclusively: "We're officially back on now."
On/off couple Chloe and Jake had previously dated for over six years and while the Essex boy wasted no time trying to woo Lauren Pope on his TOWIE debut, he soon realised it was Chloe who still had his heart.
After an emotional first series, Jake told his co-star he wanted to wipe the slate clean and start their relationship over, offering to take Chloe out on a first date again. Following the end of filming, Chloe and Jake were often spotted spending time together, but Chloe insisted the pair were not putting a label on their situation.
Now, she explains she and Jake put their romance to the test in Marbella and after a successful trip, the pair have decided to give their romance another go.
"We had a bit of a trial when we were out in Spain," she said. "Now we're back to normality in Essex, who knows? I just hope it lasts."
Fans of the show will remember, Chloe initially had her reservations about getting back together with Jake. When asked what made her change her mind when it came to her ex-beau, the starlet claimed she simply went with how she felt about him.
"Being on the show opened my eyes a little bit," she explained. "I had such a positive reaction from girls my age saying to me, 'I'm going through the same sort of thing'. People did say to me don't get back with Jake he's this and he's that, but you have to go with what you feel."
Jake's close pal and Chloe's co-star Tommy Mallet then wisely told her: "Follow your heart and not your Twitter followers."
Now officially back on again, we asked Chloe whether she was wary of the famous TOWIE curse when it came to the show's couples.
Shrugging off the show's history, she said: "It doesn't bother me, if you're going to be together, you're going to be. If you're not then you move on."
Tommy and his co-star girlfriend Georgia Kousoulou know all to well the pressures that being a couple on TOWIE brings with it, but they insist such a curse that dooms relationships to fail on the show hasn't existed since they got together.
While Tommy claims the pair have broken it, Georgia insists she never believed in it in the first place. "You can't blame TOWIE for boys cheating," she said.
Out in Marbella, Tommy and Georgia struck up a close bond with Chloe and Jake and the two couples were often spotted together - even sharing poolside PDAs.
Explaining the two share a lot in common, Georgia told us: "Our relationships are very similar. Both boys are the same and Chloe and I both look at them like argh... aggy. We both love them at the same time, though."
Asked if she had any advice for Jake and Chloe now they're back on camera as a couple, Georgia said: "If you're strong, nothing will phase you."
TOWIE returns Sunday 14 June at 10pm on ITVBe.
