The comedian was honoured with the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award on Thursday (4 June), drawing a massive range of celebrities to the Dolby Theatre in LA.
We totally know Steve has done way too many amazing movies and shows to count but we just have a little soft spot for Father of the Bride…
Among the celebs at the bash was the rather fabulous Martin Short, who starred alongside Steve the film and its baby-centric sequel Father of the Bride Part 2.
Ah! George Banks and Franck Eggelhoffer back together again!
They've actually starred together in five movies and are long-time friends, which meant Martin was a pretty perfect choice to pay tribute to (and poke fun!) at Steve during last night's extravaganza.
Martin quipped: "I said to Steve, what would you be doing if you weren't a talented comedic actor?' And he said, 'Probably what you're doing.'"
Steve's Father of the Bride screen wife Diane Keaton was also at the event. Although she didn't walk the red carpet, she did take to the stage to honour her old friend and was pictured with him and Martin at the glitzy reception.
PLEASE MAKE A FATHER OF THE BRIDE 3 ALREADY!
There were actually rumours of a third movie back in June last year, but sadly they weren't true. Steve shot them down by tweeting: "So excited to read I'm doing Father of the Bride 3 since I haven't seen a script or been offered the role!"
Other big names at last night's event to honour Steve included Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler, Dan Ackroyd, Jenna Elfman and Eric Dane, as well as Saturday Night Live producer and creator Lorne Michaels.
