The former musician turned fashion designer spoke about her time in the Spice Girls during a fashion event in Manhattan on Wednesday.
According to Us Weekly, she told the audience: "I'm still very close with the girls. They're all really, really great girls.
"I think people liked the fact that we were real. We weren't choreographed... normal girls could relate to us. And our method was it doesn't matter if you're a little bit different. That's where girl power came from. Just be who you are, be proud of who you are. I really value friendships between other girls."
Victoria's Spice Girls bandmates were Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell.
The Spice Girls were formed in 1994 and became a worldwide phenomenon. Everywhere you looked, you saw Sporty, Posh, Scary, Ginger and Baby!
Their debut album Spice is the biggest selling album by a female group in history, and they sold more than 85 million records in their career.
We haven't seen them on stage as a group since the London Olympics 2012, when they reunited for one night only to perform a medley of tracks at the closing ceremony.
