The video blogger laughed off the report via Twitter when one of her 3.32 million followers quizzed her on whether it was true or not.
"I don't know where this has come from!" she replied.
"I'm definitely not!"
According to The Sun newspaper, Zoella was rumoured to have majorly impressed X Factor boss Simon Cowell with her online empire and he was seriously interested in signing her for the coveted TV role.
We're kind of sad this isn't true. She would be great, right?!
Last year's host Sarah-Jane Crawford announced earlier this month that she would not be returning for a second year, and with former hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs now hosting the main show, it's an open race to see who will front Xtra Factor next.
Meanwhile, in the X Factor judging seats, it's still all very confusing. It's widely expected that Simon and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will both return while Louis Walsh and Mel B will not.
Louis – who has been with the show since day one – was adamant in an interview this week that he's "gone" and suggested that BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Nick Grimshaw would replace him.
Nick, meanwhile, has said he would be interested in the job as long as it didn't interfere with his radio duties.
As always, bosses of the show are not confirming the judging lineup at this stage.
