Coronation Street stars Paula Lane and Antony Cotton won't be departing Weatherfield anytime soon having signed new 12-month contracts.

Paula, who plays Kylie Platt, and Antony, who plays Sean Tully, will be around for at least another year on the long-running ITV soap.

Paula, who recently returned to Corrie after being on maternity leave, told The Sun: "I've just signed a new 12-month contract, so it's going to be quite a big year.

"I'm going to have to get my 'actress' head on and keep my two roles very separate from work and home."

Meanwhile, Antony chose to reveal his happy news via Twitter, telling fans last night: "Just a quick @itvcorrie update. I have signed to stay with the show July 2016. Happy days #StreetLife."

There are a few Corrie departures coming up this year, with Amy James-Kelly, Alison King, Craig Charles, Hayley Tamaddon and Jimi Mistry all leaving the soap.
