Today's new X Factor rumour claims Simon Cowell is going to "throw the rulebook out of the window" and create a panel consisting of three male judges and Cheryl.
Well, that would be a shake up!
Ever since the four-judge format was announced, it's always been two men and two women, the latter providing plenty of opportunities for fashion face offs and the inevitable rumours of catfighting behind the scenes.
This year, however, may be totally different.
A source told The Sun: "Simon thinks by having three men, Cheryl will flourish. He also likes the 'three men and Geordie' joke."
The insider added it could be a risk because Simon may "lose those great spats between the female judges" that garner headlines.
As always, there are a million and one rumours floating around about the new series of X Factor but very little confirmed yet.
We know for a fact Caroline Flack and Olly Murs are the new hosts, and that Sarah-Jane Crawford has left The Xtra Factor, but when it comes to the judges it's wide open.
It's widely rumoured Simon and Cheryl will both return, while BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw is in the running to replace Mel B.
As for stalwart Louis Walsh, who knows?! One day he's been fired, the next he's left, the next he's still there. So we shall have to wait and see on that one. But can you imagine an X Factor without Louis? No! Us neither!
