A special episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired in the US last night featuring footage filmed before Bruce's big interview with ABC News in which he confirmed he wishes to live as a woman.
One scene featured Bruce's ex-wife Kris reflecting on their time together:
"We had so much in common that it was kind of a match made in heaven. We went to races, we played golf, we went snow skiing. There wasn't anything we didn't do. And we couldn't keep our hands off each other."
She added: "I have these memories of this life and I feel, sometimes, like it didn't exist."
Kim, 34, tweeted while watching the show: "Breaks my heart my mum questions if her memories were real. That was 4sure a part of Bruce's life. Must be hard to go thru this as his wife.
"Must have been so hard for Bruce to explain his story to each of us. Can u imagine?! I respect him so much 4 opening up & being so truthful. Awwww the tears! Watching this back & reliving this is harder than I imagined! I'm happy we opened up & shared our journey."
A second part to the special episode will air in the US tonight.
Last month, former Olympian Bruce confirmed speculation that he is transitioning into a woman. He gave a two-hour interview to ABC News in which he spoke about having gender identity struggles since childhood and his journey to where he is now.
His eldest children – Burt, Brody, Brandon and Cassandra – all appeared on the interview to support him, while youngest children Kendall and Kylie sent a statement of love. Kris, Kim, Khloe, Rob and Kourtney all posted messages of love and support to social media. The whole family watched the interview be broadcast together.
