Talk about a quick turnaround!
15 brand new housemates entered the BB compound yesterday, but little did they know for one of them, their time in the house would be over before its even begun. This year's timebomb theme hurtled viewers forward in time to the first eviction and it was showbiz veteran Simon who unfortunately got the boot!
After all 15 housemates had made their grand entrance, fans had to choose five to take part in Big Brother's first ever twist.
They picked Simon, pastor's daughter Adjoa Mensah, Jack McDermott (also known as 'pie face'), Irish beauty Jade Lynch and posh boy Nick Henderson.
Each housemate was orded to chose a bomb to stand behind and when ordered by Big Brother they would open it to see their fate. Jack was awarded with immunity, giving him three immunity passes to use throughout his time in the house. Nick was bestowed with nominations, meaning he can only nominate face-to-face for the entire series, and Jade was given luxury, allowing her to use a luxury shopping budget when she chooses.
The remaining two, Adjoa and Simon, were told that their bombs contained either nothing or an eviction and that the person who has the eviction bomb would have to leave the house immediately.
Simon was the unlucky housemate to fall victim to Big Brother's first twist. And despite only being in the house for a matter of hours, he made his way down the steps to host Emma Willis to a chorus of boos.
Speaking to Emma, the 46-year-old said: "For my five minutes of fame it was fantastic…its showbiz. I've had so many rejections in my career it's just one of many…I would have been fabulous buy that's the way it goes."
Albeit brief, Simon still managed to get a montage of his best bits!
As well as the five picked by the viewers for Big Brother's launch night twist, the house opened its doors to twins Amy and Sally Broadbent who starred briefly on TOWIE, X Factor reject Eileen Daly, UCL rapper Cristian Matthew Clarkson, semi-pro footballer Danny Wisker, model Aaron Frew, Benidorm lover Chloe Wilburn, Cafe worker Harriet Jackson, politics fanatic Joel Williams, basketball pro Kieran McLeod and law student Sarah Greenwood.
Ahead of the next live show on Friday night, Big Brother is already asking viewers to vote for who they want to win.
The results of the vote will then be given to the house, revealing which housemate is considered the most popular so far, but Emma has teased that popularity brings with it a tough decision.
The housemate with the highest number of votes will then have to make a decision that promises to have a profound impact on the house...
Oooo, we're already SO intrigued!
