Take a look at our round up of the best X Factor auditions of all time!

The X Factor has given us endless entertainment since it's launch in 2004, from those hilarious hopefuls who can't hold a tune to the true singing talents.

We've rounded up the best auditionees who stood out for their incredible voices, and knew how to wow a crowd from day one. Enjoy!

1. Danyl Johnson

This audition puts all others to shame. Simon Cowell uttered the words "that was single handedly the best first audition i've ever heard", and he's a music MOGUL.

What made it so good? Well apart from that voice, the audience's arms were waving, Simon was grinning, Cheryl winked AND there was a mic toss!

2. Lucy Spraggan

Sometimes lyrics reach into your soul and manage to define those real life experiences. Lucy Spraggan's original song 'Last Night' did just that.

"Last night I told you I need ya, that's the last time i drink tequila" YES TO ALL THE WORDS.

3. JLS

JB, Marvin, Aston and Oritsé were totally polished from the start. In their first audition the four boys harmonised perfectly in a pleasing rainbow of polo shirts.

4. Jonny Robinson

This rendition of 'At Last' blew everyone away. This is what the X Factor is all about, the totally surprising talents. Seriously, who would've thought it?!

5. Cher Lloyd

Cher's performance of 'Turn My Swag On' revealed she had way more swag at 16-years-old than the rest of us can ever dream of.

With her first audition at over 39 million views on YouTube, it seems Louis Walsh was right in saying "you were absolutely born to be a popstar."

6. Gamu

Her untimely exit still feels raw, but in happier times Gamu was 'Walking On Sunshine' in her first audition.

7. Olly Murs

From the very start the Essex lad won the judges (and the rest of us) over with his signature cheeky chap charisma and some very special dance moves.

Take a look at Olly "just a normal geezer" Murs back in the day, throwing shapes with 'Superstition'.

8. Christopher Maloney

More than any other, this audition left us feeling emotionally drained! Deservedly receiving standing ovations all round with this rendition of Bette Midler's 'The Rose'.

Might be a good idea to skip this one if you're feeling a bit emosh.

9. Marcus Collins

Performing 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours' Marcus wowed the audience with bucketloads of energy and as Gary Barlow put it "found his own groove within the song."

10. Jahmene Douglas

Proving you should always watch the quiet ones, Jahmene Douglas blew everyone away with 'At Last', and didn't need anything more than a sharp suit and his incredible voice.

Louis even called him "a revelation", ooh.

11. Leona Lewis

Way back in 2006 when auditions simply involved a bare room and a table of judges, X Factor winner Leona wowed with a beautiful rendition of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow.'

12. Sam Bailey

This insane performance of Beyonce's 'Listen' wasn't what anyone expected from prison officer Sam Bailey. And yes, we know that's the whole point of X Factor, but it didn't stop us gawping in awe.

Louis himself said "I wasn't expecting that at all", and it's his JOB.

13. James Arthur

Cast your mind back to when James Arthur was just another hopeful contestant, before the controversy and poor Twitter game. His acoustic version of Tulisa's 'We Are Young' really was brilliant.

14. Stacey Solomon

The doubtful, sniggering audience quickly changed their tone when Stacey sung 'What A Wonderful World' wonderfully.

15. Craig Colton

Craig planned on surprising his unsuspecting parents with this audition, but he managed to shock absolutely everyone instead with Adele's 'Hiding My Heart Away'
