Despite clashing with Spenny's girlfriend on numerous occasions, Steph exclusively told Reveal she thinks Lauren has had a good influence on her ex-beau and hopes the pair will remain together for a long time to come.
Since Lauren arrived on the Chelsea scene, Stephanie and her BFF Lucy Watson made no secret of the fact they didn't like Spencer's new flame. After hearing Lauren had high-five'd Spencer for cheating on Lucy and celebrated the fact Stephanie and her boyfriend Josh Shepherd had hit a rocky patch, the girls have avoided the MIC newcomer, with Steph even telling Lauren she thinks she is "evil".
Now though, it seems Steph has had a change of heart, explaining she feels bad for how she has spoken about Lauren in the past.
"I was watching the last episode and seeing how we talked about her behind her back, I did feel bad for her," she told us.
The former Hills star added: "The whole moving in thing with her and [Spencer], I have a feeling to her he is saying 'I love you here, I want you to move in, don't move out' but then behind her back he's saying everything else.
"I only know that because it happened with me. He was always saying 'don't stay in a hotel I want you here, let's go to LA for Thanksgiving, let's get married, I love having you here…' but behind my back he was like 'she just won't leave, why won't she get on the plane?'
"I feel bad for [Lauren] because I know how that feels – to have someone tell you they love you and then you hear they're making fun of you, it's just awful."
Sympathising with her co-star, Steph assured us she now has a different mindset when it comes to Lauren than she used to.
"She's had a really good influence on [Spencer]," she said. "I know she's really into fitness and clean eating and I think he's been sober for a really long time – a record amount of time – and I don't think he's cheated… that's also a record! I think they are the real deal. I'm rooting for them!"
Since getting together with Lauren, Spencer has whipped himself into shape and followed a much stricter and healthier lifestyle. As a result, the Chelsea boy has gone through an in-credible transform, ditching his perfectly preened preppy look for a slightly more hipster image instead.
When asked if she prefers Spencer's look now to when she was dating him, Steph admitted: "It's not really my vibe... but it's good to see him happy and healthy!"
Stephanie has collaborated with jewellery brand MeMe London to create three charm bracelets for children's Charity - Little Princess Trust.
Made In Chelsea continues 18 May at 9pm on E4.
