The 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' singer was performing during her residency show at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on the Nevada strip when she fell over mid-way through her dance routine.
Following the show, the 33-year-old took to Twitter to address her onstage mishap, letting concerned fans know she hadn't been badly injured.
She tweeted: "Thank you for all of the sweet wishes! Had a little scare on stage tonight with my ankle but I'm ok!"

Britney's fall came as she was performing one of her hit tracks '(You Drive Me) Crazy'.
During the number, the mum-of-two fell to the ground after landing awkwardly on her foot while performing the track's choreography. After toppling over in her heels, ever the professional, Britney got back up again and carried on with the set.
And she stole the heart of her fans by doing so.
Commending the pop princess for continuing, many praised Britney on social media.
One user tweeted the starlet: "Great job going on with the show!" While another said: "@britneyspears inspires us everyday to get up when we fall down and brush it off. #weloveyoubritney!! Glad you're OK!"
Britney has been performing in Vegas since December 2013 after landing herself a residency with her 'Piece of Me' show and following rave reviews, she recently bagged herself two awards for it - the Best of Vegas award and the Best Bachelorette Party.
Picking up her gongs earlier this month, Britney said: "Look what I got over the weekend! Thank you Best Of Las Vegas, my dedicated team & POM crew, @phvegas, and all of YOU!"
