The singer-songwriter became engaged to girlfriend Georgina Gordon earlier this month after popping the question during a romantic cruise down The Thames.
Speaking on ITV's Lorraine today, Lucy said wedding plans were now in full swing: "We are trying to look at some castles up North. I want to wear a suit of armour but I'm not allowed!"
Instead, she'll probably settle for tartan.
"My family are Scottish so I think I'm going to be wearing a kilt. Hunting Stuart is my tartan. It will be great!"
Romantic Lucy also spoke about the engagement, saying she had been planning it for ages – but Georgina nearly beat her to the big moment!
"About a week before, I had been planning it for ages, and about a week before she went, 'I might ask you to marry me' and I was like 'don't, don't do that!'"
Lucky Georgina didn't because she would have missed out on Lucy's amazing engagement surprise.
"I had planned to get a boat to take us up the Thames and as we went under Albert Bridge - she's from the Wirral and all her family and friends had come down from Liverpool, they were standing on Albert Bridge so I said 'who's up there with the sparklers?' and when she looked she started crying and I just said 'will you marry me?'"
