Bosses announced that the massively anticipated follow up to this year's blockbuster will arrive in cinemas on 10 February, 2017 – so, just in time for Valentine's Day again then!

Hey, if it isn't broke, don't fix it!

Fifty Shades of Grey was released on 13 February this year and smashed box office records around the world. It raked in more than HALF A BILLION at the box office and made household names of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan.

It's widely expected that both Dakota and Jamie will return for the sequel – Jamie even denied rumours earlier this year that he'd dropped out.

Rita Ora is also expected to reprise the role of Mia Grey.

One person not returning, however, is director Sam Taylor-Johnson, who will not helm the sequels. And a new addition to the production crew is author E.L. James' husband Niall Leonard, who will adapt her book for the big screen.

The Fifty Shades trilogy consists of Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

A release date of 9 February 2018 has been set for the final movie.

Earlier today, the first image from Fifty Shades Darker was released, showing Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) securing a masquerade mask to his face.
