Britain's Got Talent stars Collabro have landed a major US record deal.

The operatic group, consisting of Jamie Lambert, Matt Pagan, Thomas Redgrave, Michael Auger and Richard Hadfield, signed to Simon Cowell's label Syco in June 2014 after storming to victory on the ITV talent show last year.

With one album already in the bag, the five-piece are now heading Stateside after signing a deal in the US with Sony Masterworks.

The Sun report that Collabro have signed a recording contract worth £1million.

The label's senior vice president, Mark Cavell, called Collabro "tremendously talented". He added: "I am sure they will win over both the hearts and ears of Americans."

Collabro are set to release their second album, Act Two, later this year.

Collabro beat popular duo Bars and Melody, who came in third place, and opera singer Lucy Kay, who was runner-up in the grand finale of BGT last June. Their win earned them £250,000 and a slot at the Royal Variety Performance.
