The TV presenter and campaigner had spent yesterday in hospital for surgery on her throat, but is now back home recovering.
Mum-of-one Katie tweeted Wednesday evening (22 April): "Thank you for all the lovely message guys and girls! Back home now recovery and having TV marathon catch up!"
Katie was admitted to hospital on Wednesday for a pre-scheduled operation on her throat. Katie has had multiple surgeries since 2008 when an ex-boyfriend arranged for acid to be thrown in her face.
While in hospital, Katie shared an image of herself in a hospital gown, alongside the caption: "Back in hospital today for further surgery on the tears in my throat – reassuring sign on the wall!"
The sign read: "Keep calm and stop worrying… You are in the safe hands of best professionals!"
She later shared an Instagram photo of herself in the hospital bed after surgery. She said: "All went well should hopefully be going home same day! Thanks for all the lovely msgs and good luck and lots of love to my other followers who R in hospital today."
Just the night before (21 April), Katie rubbed shoulders with Hollywood stars as she walked the red carpet at Westfield White City for The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
