As always before the official judging panel is confirmed, the speculation is starting about who may be leaving the show and today it's former Spice Girl Mel B who is in the firing line.
According to The Sun, bosses at X Factor have decided not to bring her back to the panel as part of a revamp of the show's format ahead of its twelfth year on screen.
Unless…. They can't find anyone else as good.
A source said: "Simon and the producers are now looking for a replacement for Mel. If they fail to find a suitable candidate there is a very small chance she could be back."
Mel only joined the judging lineup last year alongside Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Louis Walsh, although she had acted as a guest judge in the past.
If this news is true, we'd be rather sad: Mel was great!
She won't have any shortage of things to do, though. She's a judge over on America's Got Talent and a coach on The Voice Kids in Australia, as well as having her own Sydney radio show.
As always, bosses at X Factor won't confirm or deny judging lineup rumours until they are ready to make an official announcement so who knows if Simon, Cheryl and Lousi will even be back!
