The Minnies Boutique owner details her illness in her new autobiography, Secrets & Lies: Truth Behind The Headlines.

Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden earlier today on ITV's This Morning, Sam said: "Since I've spoken about it everyone comes to me on social media and it's opened up a whole new world."

Sam said having a platform enabled her to reach out to similar sufferers and discuss the disease more openly.

"I'm better now," the former TOWIE star continued. "I'm in what they call phase two of remission. I'm working with other charities to keep the word out there."

Secrets & Lies: The Truth Behind The Headlines, which is out now, promises to lift the lid on everything from Sam's romance with Joey Essex, to her appearance in CBB and diagnosis with Crohn's disease.
