The only child of the late singer Whitney Houston has been in a coma for weeks, after she was discovered unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home.
However, over the weekend, her father Bobby sparked speculation she was on the mend when he told concertgoers Bobbi was awake.
A statement since issued by his lawyer said: "Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life. However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come."
Bobby's sister Tina had also suggested Bobbi Kristina was recovering. A Facebook post attributed to her had claimed Bobbi was off life support.
Meanwhile, the mother of Whitney Houston has also spoken out.
In a statement to People, she said: "While [Bobbi] is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive."
Bobbi Kristina, 22, was taken to hospital in January when her partner Nick Gordon found her unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in Georgia.
Her mother Whitney Houston was found dead in a hotel bathtub in 2012.
