Barriers have gone up outside the St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington to keep media and onlookers at bay ahead of the tot's arrival.
Signs posted warn parking is suspended in the area between 15 April and 30 April because of a "special event", while metal pens have been erected for the journalists and photographers who will descend on the area.
Kate and William have not confirmed the exact due date of their child, but did say he or she was due in April… so not long yet!
Some very eager royal fans have already begun camping around the hospital in a bid to get a glimpse of Kate and William arriving and, of course, the fourth in line to the throne when the family leave the hospital.
We became very familiar with the Lindo Wing two years ago when Kate and William welcomed their first son, Prince George, in July 2013. The world watched the frenzy outside as hundreds of media from across the world rivalled for the best photographs of the newborn prince.
Who can forget that town crier announcing the news? And then finding out he wasn't actually part of the official spectacle and had just turned up randomly!
Then there was the excitement as the official birth notice left the hospital and was taken by a security-flanked car to Buckingham Palace where it was posted on a board in the forecourt.
All so grand!
We'll repeat it all over again soon enough!
