Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden said she was "gobsmacked" when Simon Cowell told her Cheryl Fernandez-Versini would be replacing her as a judge... Only to later find out that it was all a prank.

Amanda talks about SImon's radio prank on The Graham Norton Show tonight (17 April), recalling how she believed his every word.

"He was outrageous. It was absolutely horrendous," she said. "I was in so much shock that for once in my life I was completely gobsmacked, very polite and very professional. I didn't swear and I didn't slag off Cheryl, it could have been a career ender for me.

"I took it but all I could think was, 'How am I going to walk down the red carpet and smile and wave when I've been sacked.' I completely and utterly believed it but thankfully it was a joke."

On the same day as the prank, Amanda came face-to-face with Simon on the red carpet for BGT's press day in London, and we're guessing she gave him a stern telling off!

The Graham Norton Show, BBC One and BBC One HD, 17th April at 10.35pm.
