Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott thankful to escape tour bus fire

Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott escaped unhurt when the band's tour bus caught on fire while travelling to Dallas, Texas.

The singer and her husband were onboard the vehicle early on Thursday morning (16 April), along with the group's tour manager, when the emergency happened.

Thankfully, nobody was injured.

A relieved Hilary told fans: "We had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver."

She added: "Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe."

Hillary also shared a photograph of the damaged bus.

Lady Antebellum are scheduled to play in Arlington, Texas this weekend as part of the two-day outdoor festival celebrating the 50th annual Academy of County Music Awards.

The country music group are best known for their smash record 'Need You Now', which won 'Song of the Year' and 'Record of the Year' at the Grammy Awards in 2011.
