Yep, work on an all-singing, all-dancing version of the Lindsay Lohan classic (yes, we think it's a classic!) is almost complete, according to composer Jeff Richmond.
Jeff's married to Tina Fey, who wrote and starred in the 2004 comedy about a high school Queen B and her clique, and the couple have been working to adapt the movie for stage.
Jeff told Billboard that he hoped the project would take shape by summer, but admitted things will change when they start auditioning actors for the lead roles.
"We definitely want to see some kind of shape by the end of the summer," he said. "With that in mind, we know that 60 or 70 percent of that will go away when we start bringing in real singers and actors. We'll do a lot of rewriting."
Ah! We can't wait!
