Sarah Harding has teased her guest arc on Coronation Street could turn into a longer job.

The Girls Aloud star has signed up for a four-episode stint on the ITV soap but told The Sun there was a chance her character might stick around for longer.

Sarah said: "I didn't have to audition – they YouTubed me and saw what I did, so I was lucky. And it might just turn out to be a longer stint. Watch this space."

Ooh, intriguing!

Unfortunately, the singer kept silent about her character and the storyline that will accompany her entrance… although that may be more because she isn't 100 per cent sure yet!

She revealed: "I can't say much, I'm afraid. I haven't even got the first scripts yet!"

All we know is that Sarah's character will be feisty and her arrival will make life difficult for Tracy Barlow.

On landing the role, Sarah said: "I am extremely excited to be joining Coronation Street. As a fan of the show it is a huge honour for me to join the cast. I can't wait to get started!!"

Her previous acting credits include Bad Day, the BBC television film Freefall, Run for your Wife and St Trinians 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold.
