The tennis player's mother told The One Show that despite a weather hiccup first thing in the morning, everything went smoothly and she couldn't be more proud of the new couple.
Mum Judy said: "It was the perfect day from start to finish even despite the hailstones and the snowstorms that we had during the course of the morning. It was lovely, just lovely."
The former Strictly Come Dancing star continued: "They've been together for a long time so to see them getting married with all their friends and family around them, and in Dunblane, for me that was very, very special to be able to share it with the people in Dunblane who give so much love and support all the time for him. They made such a huge effort and so many of them turn out in not great weather and were there for hours."
Wimbledon and US Open winner Andy and long-time partner Kim married in his hometown of Dunblane, Scotland.
Rather than shying away from the waiting photographers and well wishers outside the church, the newlywed couple emerged after the ceremony with huge smiles on their faces, giving all the locals a chance to look at Kim's wedding dress.
They held their reception at Andy's own Cromlix House Hotel, which has undergone a major refurbishment since he bought it two years ago.
