Ryan Gosling said he felt "ashamed" after his phone went off during an interview.

Hollywood star Ryan couldn't hide his disappointment as his phone beeped with an alert while he was being interviewed on BBC Breakfast about his directorial debut on Lost River.

Acting like a true professional, Ryan apologised for the interruption, telling BBC reporter Charlie Stayt: " Oh my god, I'm sorry about that. I'm ashamed."

Ryan took the phone out of his pocket and threw it onto a chair nearby, but continued to shake his head.

When asked by Charlie how he would react if someone's phone went off on a film set, Ryan replied: "I would go nuts."
