The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star arrived in the country overnight with husband Kanye West and their daughter North West, one.
It's her first visit to the birthplace of her ancestors on her late father's side.
After arriving, she posted a photo to Instagram of the crowds and said: "Armenia we are here!!!!! We are so grateful to be here & start this journey of a lifetime! Thank you to everyone who greeted us! I can't wait to explore our country and have some yummy food!"
She also said late father, lawyer Robert Kardashian, and her grandparents would be "so proud" they had made the journey.
Kim, Kanye and North were pictured flying out of Los Angeles yesterday alongside Kim's younger sister Khloe. It's unclear whether their trip will be filmed for a future episode of the family reality show.
"My husband and daughter came to Armenia as well to see my heritage and learn about my ancestors! My cousins came along too! So excited I can't sleep," said Kim.
The Kardashian sisters have always spoken proudly of their Armenian heritage, referring to theselves as American-Armenian women. Khloe even had a traditional Armenian dance included in her wedding to now-ex husband Lamar Odom.
Back in 2010, Kim explained her ancestry to The Armenian Pulse, saying: "I am 4th generation Armenian, born and raised in Los Angeles. My great grandparents from my father's side came to LA from Armenia right before the Genocide.
"My great grandfather was Armenian and my great grandmother Turkish-Armenian. My mother is English, so I am half Armenian, but, I was raised with a huge Armenian influence, always hearing stories of Armenia, eating Armenian food and celebrating Armenian holidays!"
