The couple both arrived on the TOWIE scene this series as singletons but had been in a previous six and a half year relationship.
And it soon became clear feelings were still there and that Jake really wanted to win his beautiful ex back...
On the series finale of TOWIE, which aired on Sunday, we saw an emotional exchange between the duo as Jake said he feared he was losing Chloe and she said she just needed time to herself. Jake told her he was willing to take it slow and perhaps they should start over by going on a first date again.
Speaking to the official TOWIE website afterwards, Chloe said: "I hope we can move on and forget everything that happened and start going for dinner again and spending time with each other, so we will see.
"I do thing we should take things slow. There is no point rushing into things. We're still young and I don't want him to make any wrong decisions just getting back with me.
"I hope things work out good between us."
Chloe was pictured cheering Jake on over Bank Holiday weekend as he played for Boston United, securing them a win with a goal in the 85th minute.
